Kevin and I have thoroughly been enjoying our Christmas gift of a subscription to Netflix. We are about halfway through season 2, and I think Charles is really enjoying it too!

Things We are Loving

Well, my last semester of law school has started with a bang. Between school and working for an attorney here in town, we have been very busy, but not to worry Charles has still been getting to go on plenty of walks and get into plenty of trouble. I thought I would dedicate this post to things I am loving these days several of which are actually making my life easier. I think being married while trying to finish grad school and hold down a 20 hour a week job has given me a new found respect for all those wives and moms out there. We don't even have any kids (other than Charles) and keeping a clean house, cooking healthy meals, and doing well in school is proving to be a daunting task. I am definitely enjoying the challenge and am very fortunate to have a wonderful husband who has a willing hand and a willing heart and always has dinner waiting when I get home from my evening class on Wednesday nights (more on last weeks dinner to follow). All that being said, here are a few things I am really enjoying these days.

1. Sam Adams Cherry Wheat Beer- I first had this beer when we were in the Atlanta airport coming home from our honeymoon and I fell in love. I hadn't been able to find it in the grocery store until a couple of weeks ago and our refrigerator is now fully stocked!

2. E-mealz- Now I know my friends and family were all skeptical when I told them I had bought the Groupon for E-mealz, but I can honestly say it was a great purchase. For those of you who aren't familiar, e-mealz is an online meal planning service. Every week I log in, set my meal plan for the week (2 people, Publix) and the site generates a menu based on what is on sell that week. It makes cooking and grocery shopping so much easier, and the meals we have cooked have turned out great.  I'd recommend the site to any busy wives and moms.

3. The Firm- Kevin and I are both avid John Grisham fans and when we saw NBC was coming out with a TV show based on Grisham's best selling novel, the Firm, we are intrigued. After three weeks, we are hooked and anxiously await Thursday evenings to each the next chapter in the story unfold.

4. Couponing- Now I doubt I will ever be an extreme couponer, partially because I don't have the time and partially because I am not a hoarder. However, we have started a Sunday tradition of getting the Sunday paper and clipping coupons and then grocery shopping on Sunday afternoons. I've also taken to checking Southern Saver for the sale ads so I can make sure I don't miss out good deals at Publix. Last week we saved $25 and this week we saved $20 and got a $10 gift card for spending $100 at Publix. I think our best buy today was dog food for Charles. We winded up getting a 44 pound bag of Purina for $18.99 (normally $25.00 but $19.99 with a Pet Supplies Plus card and an additional $1.00 off with a manufacture's coupon). Charles won't go hungry and we were thrilled with the good deal.

5. The Boot- The Boot is our favorite new restaurant. They have a great beer selection and fabulous food for affordable prices. Even better is the fact we bought a Livingsocial deal for the Boot allowing us to get $26 worth of food for $13!

6. Breakfast- We received so many great gifts for our wedding and have been having a wonderful time trying them all out. Saturdays have quickly become our breakfast day and we have made waffles, fresh orange juice, omelets, bacons, and egg mcmuffins so far. We also like the added bonus of eating at home!

Well those are some of the things we are loving right now. Looking forward to a busy week and 2 concerts next weekend. Hopefully if the weather is nice on Saturday, Charles will get to go hiking at the Moss Rock Preserve.
